The wild plenty packages and pricing

  Wake up to breathtaking views from our accommodation on Paerata Ridge, a stunning base for your adventure. Each day is paired with wild game and garden-fresh meals, along with the occasional fine dining experience at one of our favourite local restaurants. Surrounded by scenic walks and multiple beaches, we aim to showcase as much of our backyard as possible over your 10 days with us.

We supply both left and right handed game rifles and are all fully licensed for firearms.

We also have access to a 300 yard gun range for you to dial in the scope to your eye.

We want to ensure you are comfortable and grouping well with the fire arm before embarking on the multiple hunts.

  With access to private hunting land, this is a great option for getting on the board without the challenge of steep terrain. Offering competitive rates across the industry, it’s also a great warm-up before your heli hunt.

Please note:
Private land hunts include expert guiding and the opportunity to take a red stag or fallow buck up to 8 points. Any animal above 8 points will be priced accordingly, in accordance with standard rates within the New Zealand deer industry.

This is by far the coolest part of the entire package, getting picked up from our back yard by the Motu Helicopters(Operated by Heli-Hire) in the MD530F.

Flying into the remote forest of the Raukumara ranges for a 4 or 5 day free range Red Stag hunt in the heart of the New Zealand rut period(we call it the Roar). Now this is not a guaranteed option to bring home a red stag, but the feeling of legitimately roaring and shooting a wild Red Stag is the ultimate adrenaline hit!

 The 8-Day Premium Economy Package is perfect for those ready to go the extra mile and push themselves through the steep terrain of our backyard. This adventure includes a 4- to 5-day trip deep into the untouched forests of New Zealand.

  Dropped off and picked up by helicopter, this is a genuine free-range hunt with no limit to the number of stags you can roar in and take down. If you're willing to put in the hard yards, you'll have multiple opportunities at roaring in a red stag.

  This trip is tailored for late March through early May — New Zealand’s rutting season. Every package begins at the rifle range, where we set up the firearm to suit your eye. It’s a great way to gauge your shooting comfort and ability, especially at distance, and helps us tailor the hunt to your experience level.

  A full packing list will be provided before your package is confirmed. Most flights from the U.S. to New Zealand depart in the evening and arrive early in the morning. Since New Zealand is GMT+13, you'll lose a day on the way over but the good news is, you’ll gain it back on the return trip.

   The non-hunting days on either side of the heli trip are designed to help you ease into the time zone and shake off the jet lag. We fill these days with local beach tours, glow worm caves, and the chance to try some of our favourite local Kiwi foods. We take care of the logistics so you can focus on the adventure and soak up the beauty of our favourite local spots along the way.

  Ever been for a ride in a river jet boat? 

Just the ride alone is an experience but it gets even better. It’s also how we get in and out of the overnight jet boat hunt up the mighty Motu River.

 This package still includes all the bells and whistles of the wild game flavour experience. Picture starting your morning with bacon and eggs cooked in an earth oven, taking in the view as the day begins, it’s a breakfast you won’t forget. 

 With so much natural beauty surrounding our home base in Waiotahe, planning the downtime between hunts is the easy part. Captain Cook didn’t name it the Bay of Plenty for nothing, this place delivers.

The private land block has Red Deer and Fallow Deer running wild through it.

  This package includes a private land hunt, ideal for those who may find the steep terrain of our surrounding hills a bit too challenging. With only a moderate level of fitness required, it’s a great option and could be the perfect combo for your adventure.

From a full day game fishing the beautiful waters of the South Pacific, to ripping up the mighty Motu River on a jet boat for an adrenaline-fuelled hunting mission this is adventure at its best.
